Kid's Holiday Club a great success

Wow, what a week. In a word, “cosmic!”. Space walks, intergalactic rocket missions, quizzmania, a spaceship rebellion, and the chance to know the creator and saviour of the universe. Just some of the adventure fun this week at St Mark’s Kid’s Holiday Programme. It has been a terrific week, and we thank God that all the kids seemed to enjoy the programme, were kept safe , and experienced some great teaching from the leaders. We have left some of the props up the back for you to see for yourself a little of the huge effort that went into the week.
Each day a team of people would meet to open up and finish last minute preparations. The kids arrived at 9.30 am and off we went. There were games, a welcoming and sing-a-long time, a space drama, morning tea, Bible talk, craft and more games.
Some of the highlights were– seeing the youth group kids come along and lead the younger kids and really care for them; seeing the kids get the connections between the skits and the Bible story; the appreciation on the kids faces at wanting to be there; and welcoming some new parents to St Mark’s.
A big big thank you to Yoke for putting so much work into the week. To Thomas’ for the decorations, Susannah for the crafts, and for the talks– Alan, Simon, Jess, Kylie and Liza. Also thanks to Pete Lim, Jack, Sandra, Wei Peng, Irene, Hsiang, Carl, Boris, Vania, Caleb, Katie and Glen– well done team!
Please give thanks to our great God for making this past week a great success. Pray that the kids will remember what they’ve learnt and love the Lord Jesus. Pray that new families will come to church and also know God.
