Moore College Mission Coming Soon!

Only 2 Sundays to go until the Moore College Mission. College mission was a highlight for me at college. For 8 days, you join up with a church and get involved in outreach to their local community. The college closes for that week, and all the students and lecturers join together into different teams. No lectures, no assignments, no study– it was excellent! In my time at college I went to Nowra, Narrabeen, Gladesville, and Unichurch@UNSW.
The aim of the week is to God-willing, bring many people into his family through the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
From the college point of view, it helps remind the college of why they exist. They are not interested in producing academics full of head knowledge– they are a ministry training centre, intent on producing servants of the Word of God. Mission galvanises this reality in the minds of the students.
From the church’s point of view, there is also great benefit. Having a highly motivated, and very capable group of young people is like a shot in the arm. There is a buzz around church; people band together on different outreach projects and report and pray for people they have shared the gospel with. You will be encouraged by the students and vice versa. And all this occurs as the students help raise the profile of our church in the community in a very positive way.
